Since the Coronavirus pandemic struck, some states like Pennsylvania have made truck parking more difficult by temporarily shutting down rest areas (most have since reopened), but other states are taking action to support trucking by opening up facilities for parking.

Indiana, Virginia, and Missouri are also allowing semi truck parking at weigh stations.

Arizona reopened two rest area locations that were closed for more than a decade to provide parking, hand washing stations, and portable restrooms for truck drivers only.
