Georgia weigh station shuttered for more than two years reopens

Authorities in Georgia say that a weigh station that was shuttered for years has officially reopened for business.

On November 30, the Georgia Department of Public Safety (GDPS) announced that the Carroll County Weigh Station had officially reopened after a two and a half year closure.

The Carroll County Weigh Station is located on westbound I-20 at mile marker 14.

The weigh station was shuttered due to construction on I-20.

“CMV drivers who are driving westbound near mile marker 14 be sure to follow the station’s traffic signals,” GDPS wrote.
