Hurricane Isaias winds blow over three semi-trucks on Delaware highway

At least three semi trucks were overturned at the same time by intense hurricane winds in Delaware on Tuesday morning.

NBC 10 Philadelphia reported on the scene, showing the aftermath of the tipped trailers across southbound Delaware Route 1 in New Castle County. Debris and visible damages buildings can also be seen along the highway.

The high winds and powerful storms are a result of tropical storms moving across the Mid Atlantic states due to hurricane Isaias. Isaias was upgraded from a tropical storm to a Category 1 hurricane Monday evening. The hurricane made landfall late Monday night near Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Since then, it has been downgraded back down to a tropical storm.

Drivers should take proper safety precautions when traveling through extreme weather. The National Weather Service has issued warnings about expected storm conditions and the dangerous flooding that is likely to happen across the New England area.
