An Iowa officer’s dash cam was rolling when he spotted a small hay fire that rapidly turned into into a much bigger blaze on Monday.
The video was captured around 11:15 a.m. on May 4 in Albia, Iowa.
Deputy Stewart with the Monroe Country Sheriff’s Office spotted a fire on a semi traveling west on Highway 34 and pulled the truck over to warn the driver.
In dash cam video shared by police, you can see that the hale bales soon are engulfed in flames. Some of the burning bales fell off the truck into a ditch, where they’ll continue to smolder for the next few days.
No injuries were reported.
