Man charged with assault for threatening truck driver with crowbar

Published:

Michigan State Police (MSP) have arrested a man who allegedly threatened a truck driver with a crowbar during a road rage incident earlier this week.

The road rage incident was reported around 1:20 p.m. on Monday, September 28, in Lake Township, Michigan.

According to MSP, 20 year old Zebulian Czygan and two others were traveling on North White Birch Avenue in a passenger vehicle when a truck pulled in front of their vehicle.

When the vehicle stopped, troopers say that Czygan threatened the truck driver with a crow bar.

The truck driver drove away from the scene and wasn’t hurt.

The vehicle Czygan was traveling in continued to follow the truck, which caused both the truck driver and a witness to call 911.

A MSP trooper was able to catch up to both vehicles.

Czygan was arrested without further incident and held in the Missaukee County Jail.

Czygan was arraigned on October 1 on a charge of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon. He was later released on bond.
