Miller Lite is celebrating International Beer Day on August 7 the only way it knows how- by sharing a free cold one with Americans.
While travel restrictions and an international pandemic have confined most of us to stay local this year, Miller Lite is bringing its beer to ‘international’ cities that might be a little closer than you think.
The company announced that it would be celebrating by giving free beer to cities all across our nation that are named after different countries: Poland, Ohio; Peru, Illinois; Canada, Kentucky; and Denmark, Wisconsin are a few examples.
On August 7, Miller Lite fans in over 110 zip codes can claim a beer rebate by visiting Miller Lite’s International Beer Day website and uploading a receipt from their purchase of a six-pack of Miller Lite beer. The rebate will be sent via Venmo or Paypal. To be eligible, customers must purchase the beer on Aug. 7, and receipts can be submitted by Aug. 14 or until supplies run out.
A Miller Lite semi-truck will also be in Scotland, South Dakota, on Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. hand-delivering beer to fans.
The truck will park at the corner of Second and Main Street in downtown Scotland and hand out one free 12oz beer per person.
Be sure to check the website for full rules and to view eligible zip codes.
