The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT) has closed westbound I-94 in Monticello for a major crash that occurred during a snow squall.
During winter weather conditions just after 9 a.m. on Thursday morning, multiple vehicles collided on westbound I-94 at Highway 25, east of Monticello, Minnesota.
Up to 16 vehicles may be involved in the pileup crash, according to MNDOT.
MNDOT says that a semi truck is on fire at the crash site.
The Minnesota State Patrol says that the driver of the truck that caught fire is uninjured.

I-94 westbound is closed until further notice for cleanup and investigation of the crash. The Minnesota State Patrol is warning drivers to expect major delays.
