Missouri to allow truck parking at weigh stations during COVID-19 emergency

Published:

Missouri authorities recently announced that they are are allowing semi truck parking at all weigh stations during the COVID-19 emergency.

On April 7, the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) announced that they will allow truck parking, including overnight parking, at all state weigh stations due to the Federally Declared Emergency issued by President Trump last month.

MSHP says that truck parking is allowed as long as it does not disturb the operations of the facility — meaning no parking on ramps, in scale lanes, in front of inspection buildings, in staff parking areas, or in handicapped parking areas.

MSHP also says that no drug or alcohol consumption will be permitted at the weigh stations. Littering is also forbidden for drivers parking at the weigh stations.

Truckers should also be aware that restroom facilities may not be available at every location.
