A motorist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi truck during stop-and-go traffic on Wednesday.

The accident occurred on October 21st at around 7:40 p.m. near Smithton, Pennsylvania.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 27-year-old Dillon W. Walton was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier in the left lane of eastbound Interstate 70 near exit 49 when traffic came to a stop.

As the vehicles in the left lane came to a halt, an oncoming tractor trailer failed to slow down and crashed into the line of stopped traffic, directly striking Walton’s vehicle.
