Multiple truck crashes reported on Louisiana I-10 as Hurricane Delta bears down

Louisiana State Police have reported several semi truck crashes on I-10 as Hurricane Delta heads toward the Gulf Coast.

Hurricane Delta is expected to make landfall in Louisiana on Friday evening, but heavy rain and tropical-storm force winds have already been reported in Louisiana and Texas.

Louisiana State Police have reported multiple truck crashes on Friday on I-10, the interstate being used by many who are fleeing from the hurricane.

On Friday morning, an overturned truck was reported on I-10 west at mile marker 31 B in Lake Charles.

After this crash, Louisiana State Police shared a photo of a truck in the I-10 median, along with a warning to avoid unnecessary travel and flooded roadways.

Early Friday afternoon, troopers reported another crashed truck on I-10 at mile marker 31 B.

Troopers didn’t provide information on injuries in the truck crashes.
