Nearly 205 trucking jobs hang in the balance

Published:

A trucking company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will soon lay off 204 employees.

According to a WARN letter Allpoints Trucking and Courier Services, Inc. dab Thruway Direct plans to begin the mass layoffs by the end of October and has issued a state WARN notice.

Along with the trucking company, the subsequent Amazon distribution will also be closing.

The company has not yet commented on the situation.

Pursuant to the WARN notice above, it was previously reported that the above trucking company was laying off employees, which we then improperly linked the website of an entirely separate company, All Points Transportation Services to this article.  All Points Transportation Services is a separate company than the trucking company mentioned herein, and thus, they are not affiliated with this article nor are they laying off any of their employees. All Points Transportation Services is a transportation management company located in Shoreham, New York that is armed with 30 years of industry experience and has the capability to deliver tailored logistic solutions to domestic shipments primarily focused within the convention service industry. Furthermore, pursuant to the WARN notice above,  it was incorrectly reported that Allpoints Trucking and Courier Services, Inc. (dba Thruway Direct), which was the company this article is focused on, was located in Henrietta, New York, but their company is actually located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
