New Jersey bans CMVs from multiple interstates

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has issued a truck travel ban on several interstates as a winter storm bears down on the state.

As of 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, a commercial vehicle travel ban is in place on the following roadways:

The travel ban applies to the following vehicle types:

The travel restriction does not apply to:

NJ DOT also states that “trucks that are already in New Jersey when the travel restrictions go into place are encouraged to pull off in truck stops to wait out the storm – DO NOT PARK ON SHOULDERS.”

Pennsylvania also put truck travel restrictions in place effective Wednesday at 1 p.m.
