One of the nation’s biggest trucking shows is cancelled for 2021

A major trucking show planned for next year will not be taking place due to lingering concerns over COVID-19.

Event organizers with the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) recently announced that the in-person event will not be taking place in 2021 due to Coronavirus concerns.

“Planning begins at least 12 months in advance. Yet as we head into the fourth quarter of 2020, we are no more certain about the potential to hold a successful, large-scale in-person event than we were when we canceled the 2020 show,” event organizers explained in a news release.

Instead of the in-person GATS event, some events will be held virtually, including: the Small Fleet Champ Award, Partners in Business, Pride & Polish, and Trucker Talent Search.

The pandemic forced the cancellation of multiple trucking events so far this year, including GATS 2020, MATS 2020, the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) 2020 Annual Conference and Exhibition, and the Guilty By Association Truck Show (GBATS).
