Pickup driver ticketed after colliding with oversized load

Oklahoma police say that a pickup truck driver is okay following a crash with an oversized load.

The crash occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the morning of May 15, according to local news outlet KTUL.

According to reports, an escorted semi truck was hauling a support beam on Broken Arrow Expressway near 129th East Avenue.

When the semi truck driver turned left, a Chevy pickup traveling at about 40 m.p.h. crashed into the beam.

Remarkably, the pickup driver suffered only minor injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Tulsa police said that the support beam was only inches from the pickup driver’s face.

Police say that the pickup driver was ticketed for “conditions affecting speed.”
