Pickup plows full speed into stopped semi in surveillance video

A pickup truck driver somehow survived a serious crash into a semi trailer in Virginia on Wednesday.

The crash occurred in Collinsville, Virginia, on Wednesday morning when a white pickup truck collided with a stopped semi truck at a high rate of speed for the rural roadway.

The crash caused major damage to the pickup, but the pickup driver survived with non life-threatening injuries including a broken leg. He was transported to the hospital.

Local news outlet BTW21 reported that Virginia State Police said that the pickup driver was speeding and not paying attention to the road.

The crash remains under investigation by Virginia troopers.
