Colorado police are investigating after discovering a body on top of a semi truck this morning.
The body was discovered shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday morning in Grand Junction, Colorado, according to local news outlet KJCT8.
A worker at the United States Postal Service location noticed a person on top of a truck at the facility and called police, thinking that the person might be asleep.
When officers arrived, they confirmed that the male on top of the truck was dead.
As police continued to investigate, they learned that the truck driver was traveling to Glenwood Springs from a location in Kansas when he heard a noise as he went under an I-70 overpass in Wheat Ridge.
After arriving in Glenwood Springs, the trailer was transferred to another truck, which was driven to the USPS location in Grand Junction, where the man’s body was discovered.
The incident remains under investigation by the Wheat Ridge Police Department.
This is a developing story.
