President shouts out ‘Truckers4Trump’

The President took to social media to acknowledge the efforts of a group of truckers who are helping to support his reelection.

On Tuesday morning, Trump posted a Facebook video of a convoy along with the message “Thank you #Truckers4Trump.” The video features several trucks pulling trailers that read “TRUMP 2020.”

The President did not provide information on where the convoy took place, but several pro-Trump road rallies have been held across the county in the lead-up to the November election.

After the trucking industry helped him secure victory in the 2016 presidential election, Trump has acknowledged the contributions of members of the trucking industry on multiple occasions.

In March, he took to Twitter to offer thanks to truckers for their efforts at the front line of the Coronavirus crisis.

In May 2020, Trump appeared to stand with truckers against freight brokers when he said that truckers were being “price gouged.” The president’s statement came during a weeks-long protest activity held in Washington D.C. meant to raise awareness about low rates and unscrupulous freight brokers.
