Firefighters and law enforcement officers had their work cut out for them trying free a semi truck that got wedged on a bridge on Thursday.
The bridge strike occurred around 11 a.m. in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
According to the Newbury Port News, the truck hauling 15,000 pounds of used computer parts got about halfway across the Bailey Bridge before it became wedged.
No injuries were reported.
In images captured at the scene, you can see major damage to the roof of the trailer.
Crews worked for hours to unload the stuck truck during the removal process.
Amesbury Fire Chief Kenneth E. Berkenbush says that the bridge is clearly marked at 10’3″, but that this isn’t the first time that a truck has struck the bridge.
The bridge strike is still under investigation.
