According to Washington State Department of Transportation, a semi truck driver, who passed a snowplow on the shoulder, struck the snowplow and then fled the scene.
The incident occurred on Sunday night on I-90, west of Salnave Rd/SR 902 interchange.
“Last night our Tow Plow was struck by a semi-truck. The semi tried to pass on the shoulder of I-90 during plowing operations,” WSDOT said in a Tweet.
According to the Tweet, WSDOT said that the damage was “minor” and the snowplow driver was not injured.
They asked that motorists “give our plow drivers space and be patient as they clear the road.”
Authorities have not released the description of the hit and run semi.
