A North Carolina interstate is shut down for a major crash involving a semi truck and multiple fire trucks.
The crash occurred around 4 a.m. on Tuesday in Rowan County, North Carolina, north of Salisbury.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, three Millers Ferry fire trucks were responding to a previous semi truck fire on southbound I-85 at mile marker 82.
Troopers say that a second semi truck struck one of the fire trucks, causing it to collide with two other fire trucks.
No firefighters were injured.
The semi truck driver was injured in the crash and was transported to the hospital.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation says that I-85 southbound could remain closed until noon on Tuesday. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
The incident is under investigation.
