Seven German Shepherds discovered in cab during trucker welfare check

Published:

Seven German Shepherd dogs were found inside the cab of a truck driver stranded at a truck stop in Minnesota last week.

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 24th at around 11:16 p.m. in Fergus Falls.

According to the Fergus Falls Journal, a trucking dispatcher contacted the sheriff’s office requesting a welfare check be performed on a truck driver who had broken down at the Big Chief Truck and Auto Plaza.

When police  arrived, the truck driver assured the officer that he would be able to stay warm thanks to a bunk heater and his seven German Shepherd dogs.

The officer reportedly attempted to convince the driver to find warm accommodations for the night, but left him only with a contact number for a nearby towing assistance.
