Shots fired at Georgia watermelon packing facility after truck driver threatens to kill employees

A truck driver was arrested at a Pineview, Georgia, watermelon packing facility on Monday after an argument broke out, resulting in shots fired.

According to Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office,the Miami-based truck driver, Rocco DiLaurentis, got into an argument with the dock manager and owner of the packing shed.

The argument escalated when DiLaurentis was asked to leave the property and began to fight with the owner while walking to his truck.

Authorities say DiLaurentis pulled a gun from his truck and threatened to kill employees at the packing shed.

According to a news release, a shotgun owned by the property owner was fired into the ground and DiLaurentis drove away down Highway 112 while shooting out the window in their direction.

DiLaurentis was arrested and taken to the Wilcox County jail.

He is charged with aggravated assault.
