Suspect deceased after fatal shooting at Illinois warehouse

Police say that a person who opened fire at a warehouse in Springfield, Illinois, on Friday morning has passed away.

The shooting was reported around 11 a.m. at the Bunn-O-Matic warehouse located at 1400 Adlai Stevenson Drive.

Springfield police say that three people were shot, two people inside the building and one in the parking lot. Two white male victims are deceased and the one female victim is in critical condition. All three were employees.

Just before 2 p.m., police found the suspect, late identified as Michael L. Collins, 48, deceased in a vehicle. The cause of death has not been released.

Police say Collins was also an employee. His motive for the shooting is unclear.
