A 49-year-old man was arrested at a truck stop in Troutdale, Oregon on June 17, 2020 after being suspected of kidnapping a woman.
Lanny Bieroth was arrested by deputies on Northwest Frontage Road around 11:51 p.m.
A woman had escaped his tractor trailer and gone to a nearby convenience store. She reported that she had been assaulted and held against her will by Bieroth, who had driven her from California.
Bieroth is charged with second degree kidnapping and is being held at the Multnomah County Jail. The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
