Texas cops sprint to avoid out of control big rig on I-35 in dash cam video

Published:

Police in Belton, Texas, shared video of an out of control semi truck that forced officers to run for their lives on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on May 12 as officers with the Belton Police Department were responding to a previous crash involving a semi truck on I-35.

As officers were standing beside the previously crashed semi, a second semi truck driver traveling southbound on I-35 lost control in the rainy weather, crossing a median and two lanes of frontage road before coming to stop near the first truck.

Officers ran from the scene to avoid the truck, but police said that no one was seriously hurt.

Belton Police remind drivers “to adjust driving speeds to match weather conditions. Lives are literally at stake. Also, remember when you see emergency lights move over or slow down.”
