These wild trucking pets are a must-see

We all love our furry co-pilots, but some truck drivers have been breaking the stereotypical ‘cat or dog’ mold by going with some far more unique animals as their OTR companions.

Take Daytona the Rabbit, for example. Owned and cared for by CDLLife App user and truck driver Ken C., Daytona runs the show, apparently. Just visit his Instagram page, where Ken portrays Daytona as a cute, yet sinister trickster always looking for an opportunity to one-up his ‘hooman’ and take over truck-driving duties.

I gotta go pick up snax

Is a rabbit still too mundane for you? How about a few exotic birds? Parrot co-pilots have been spotted at truck stops far and wide and shared on the CDLLife App – from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas. Their truckers say they are potty trained and actually guard the truck if someone comes near.

If you’re still looking to take it up a notch, how about a trucking goat? These two were spotted by CDLLife App users Kendrick B. and Daniel C., who shared the photos to the app just a few weeks ago.

Last but not least, a video of a trucker with a small pig as a pet went viral recently. In the clip, you can see the driver lift his buddy back into the truck after taking a walk.

“Parked at a rest area, I noticed this guy walking his pig. He then proceeded back to his semi-truck and got that fat little pig into his truck,” wrote the video poster.

Check out the video of the trucker and his pig pal, below. And tell us, what is the craziest trucking pet you’ve ever seen?
