The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that crews are almost finished with road repairs in wake of a jet fuel tanker crash and explosion that occurred in Indianapolis in February.
INDOT says that the I-465 southbound to I-70 eastbound ramp is currently closed as road crews make final repairs to infrastructure damaged by fire earlier this year.
The ramp is scheduled to reopen on Friday, May 22.
The ramp was damaged on February 20, 2020, when 59 year old truck driver Jeffrey Denman struck a guardrail while hauling 4,000 gallons of jet fuel. The tanker truck overturned and a series of massive explosions ensued.
The driver of the semi was pulled out by a Good Samaritan. He is being transported to the hospital now

Denman was able to make it out of the truck with the help of Good Samaritans, but he suffered severe burns and later passed away in the hospital.
