Train obliterates semi stuck on tracks in front of police station in gut-churning video

Published:

Police have shared anxiety-inducing video of a truck vs. train crash that happened in Georgia on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on September 24 at the intersection of Hwy 78 and S.Carroll Rd. near the local police station in Villa Rica, Georgia.

In the video, a truck driver who was hauling a load of meat appears to turn onto the railroad tracks as the guard arms lower and while the warning lights are activated.

A police officer sees what is happening and activates his light bar to warn drivers.

The stuck truck wasn’t able to move off the tracks before a train came racing through, slicing open the trailer and scattering the truck’s cargo.

No injuries were reported.

Fox 5 reports that there are signs in the area restricting truck traffic on the railroad tracks.

Charges are pending.

The video below was captured by security cameras at the Villa Rica Police station.
