Maryland authorities announced that a truck driver has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in February 2020.

On December 18, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police announced that 28 year old truck driver Charles Dailey Jr. had been arrested and charged with one count of Criminally Negligent Manslaughter by Vehicle.

The charges were issued in connection with a February 14, 2020, fatal crash that occurred on the Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695) in the Baltimore area.

Police say that they received a report about a disabled Honda on the bridge, but before they could respond to assist, a semi truck struck the car.

The crash caused the car driver, 29 year old Nazmi Abdelhadi to fall off the bridge into the water below. His body was later recovered by marine units.
