Driver determined to deliver load of beer despite hurricane Isaias aftermath

Published:

A landscaping crew helped a delivery truck driver with a load of beer get through a blocked street in Wilton, Connecticut.

Towns across the East Coast were devastated by power outages and damages from intense storms following Hurrican Isaias on August 4.

Tree branches and debris brought power lines to the ground, stopping traffic on many streets. Included in the traffic on Cedar Road was a Dichello Distributors delivery truck filled with beer.

The truck was stopped for about an hour before a landscaping crew, which unsuccessfully tried to get around the tree earlier, began to chop the tree blocking the road themselves.

The crew used chainsaws to successfully cut off a large limb of the tree so the truck could continue its delivery of beer.
