A hero truck driver helped a woman with a child flee an abusive situation on an Arizona highway.

The incident occurred on September 20, at approximately 11:00 pm on SR-87.

The victim told Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers that she attempted to leave her Arizona apartment but that Michael Andrew Brock, 25, allegedly restrained her and wouldn’t let her leave to go to her father’s house.

Later, Brock agreed to let her leave but said that he has going with her and the couple’s 3-year-old daughter.

While on the highway, Brock allegedly began slapping the victim and pointed a gun at her head.

The truck driver got the victim and her daughter into the truck safely. The victim was then taken to a hospital for treatment of head trauma.

Brock was arrested and admitted to threatening to harm the mother of his child. He was arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, harassment and child abuse.
