Massachusetts State Police say that a roadway in Danvers was closed on Tuesday afternoon after a major bridge strike.
The bridge strike happened around 1 p.m. on November 24 on southbound Route 128 in Danvers when a truck struck the Endicott Street overpass.
Troopers say that the truck driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
All southbound lanes of Route 128 are closed as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation inspects the overpass for safety. Heavy traffic delays have been reported in the area.
The cause of the bridge strike is under investigation.
