Truck Driver Trapped By Electrical Lines


A truck driver was trapped in his truck after power lines fell on his truck on Tuesday.

According to the New York State Police, the driver of a roll off container left the ramp in an elevated position after dropping off a container in the town of Union. As the driver entered onto another road, the ramp caught power lines.

The force caused the power lines and utility poles to topple onto the truck. The transformers caught fire and the pavement below began to melt.

The truck driver was trapped for a while; however, he was able to escape the truck after NYSEG workers turned off power to the fallen lines.

The driver was not injured.
