Trucker missing for more than a month found safe

Family members say that a truck driver who was allegedly missing for more than a month has been found safe.

Over the weekend, family members put out a call for help in locating 45 year old Michael Williams, who they say was last seen leaving Indiana on January 3, 2020.

According to a Monday morning update from family member Nancy Alexander Claycomb, Williams has been reported found. She writes, “Update: Dispatch told Sargent W Williams that Michael Williams is alive and on a run. They can’t release any other information. We are confused but thankful.”

A family is asking for help in locating a truck driver who has been missing for more than a month.

On February 8, the Missing Truck Driver Alert Network (MTDAN) put out an alert for a truck driver who was last seen on January 3, 2020.

According to the alert, 45 year old truck driver Michael Williams was last seen leaving Perry County, Indiana on January 3, 2020. Williams was transporting a load to an unknown location in either North Carolina or South Carolina.

MTDAN describes Williams as 5’10”, 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

His truck is a white 2005 Peterbilt 379 pulling a flat bed trailer with an Indiana plate #P689584. The last 6 numbers of his VIN are 840599.

Anyone who spots Williams or his truck are asked to contact Indiana State Police, 911, and MTDAN.
