Truck spills load of 6,500 live chickens in Kentucky resident’s front yard

A Tyson Food truck carrying a load of live chickens overturned early Tuesday morning in Todd County, Kentucky.

The truck was carrying an estimated 6,500 live chickens before it tipped, killing approximately 5,000.

According to Todd County Emergency Management, the incident happened on Butler Road at Flat Rock Road. Chickens spilled onto the road and front lawn of a resident’s home.

UPDATE: As of 12:30 Butler Rd (HWY 508) is open, clean up continues with some short blockages of Flat Rock Rd. …
