Trucker defends himself with a cigarette after Florida man climbs on steps

Published:

A Florida man is facing charges after an alleged road rage incident involving a truck driver.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 13, in Brevard County, Florida.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident occurred while traffic was slowed on I-95 when 37 year old Orlando resident Richard Robitaille got into an argument with a 65 year old semi truck driver.

During the argument, police say that Robitaille exited his vehicle and climbed up on the steps of the semi truck.

Police say that the truck driver used a cigarette to try to defend himself, which caused Robitaille to respond by pushing at his arm.

Robitaille was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail.

He was issued a felony charge of battery against a person 65 or older.
