A truck driver is facing forty charges after illegally hauling a mobile home.
According to the Alberta Sheriff Highway Patrol the department received multiple calls regarding a truck hauling a double-wide mobile home on Highway 2.
A Facebook post from the Highway Patrol said that the oversize load caused several near collisions.
When officers caught up with the truck, they said the load didn’t have the appropriate signage and “Officers responded and were concerned about the lack of proper signage and lights on the semi, the mobile home and a pilot truck that was following the transport unit,” the post states.
To make matters more dangerous, it was storming, making it hard for motorists to see the giant load.
The truck was escorted by officers to a weigh station.
Once there, officers found that neither driver had a license with them and neither vehicle had insurance. In addition, all of the vehicles didn’t have license plates. The driver was charged with 40 violations.
