The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that they were able to locate and rescue a semi truck driver who went missing for days in snowy Shasta County.
The truck driver was reported missing by his company around 3 p.m. on Thursday while a heavy winter storm rolled through California, Fox 40 reports.
Police say that weather and road conditions were so dire that they were unable to conduct a search for the missing trucker until Saturday.
Around 8 a.m. on Saturday, the CHP deployed air units near the trucker’s last known location provided by his GPS device and were able to locate him on Summit Lake Road.
Police said that the driver was unhurt and helped him to get a hot meal and a hotel.
