Trucker shot while filling out log book in cab

Published:

Canadian authorities are on the lookout for a motorist who fired multiple shots at a truck driver who was sitting in his parked truck, leaving him seriously injured.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. on February 4 in the town of Mayerthorpe in Alberta, Canada, according to local police.

Fifty year old truck driver Glenn Creber was reportedly filling out his log book while parked in a vacant lot in an industrial area when a person in another vehicle fired three shots through his truck’s windshield, striking him in the chest and arm.

The shooter then fled the scene.

Creber was able to call 911 and he was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A GoFundMe set up for Creber states, “A senseless  random act of violence has changed Glenn’s life forever.”

Police believe that the shooter was driving a dark maroon Dodge Ram pickup truck. Investigators say that they do not believe that the pickup driver knew Creber.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Mayerthorpe RCMP at 780-786-2291.
