Truckers plan show of support for boy with deadly cancer

Published:

A group of truckers are organizing a convoy to brighten the spirits of a young man suffering from a rare form of cancer.

Truckers with the group Convoy for Miguel are currently at work organizing a convoy in Berlin, Wisconsin, in order to show support for Miguel as he battles a deadly form of cancer.

The convoy is set to take place January 24, 2020, at 3:15 p.m.

Event organizer Becky Retzlaff says, “Calling all truckers!!! Join us in a convoy for Miguel who is terminally ill with a rare form of cancer. We will be starting in front of Clay Lamberton Elementary in Berlin, and then convoying through main street Berlin. We are currently working out final details on where the convoy will end, but it will be on the outskirts of Berlin near Walmart. Feel free to invite all your trucking friends, let’s get as many big rigs as possible!”

On Monday Retzlaff said that about 30 trucks are expected to participate in the convoy.
