Trucking company owed drivers $3,000 after violating Coronavirus legislation

A Florida trucking company has paid back $3,110 to its employees after violating the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act part of the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

According to the Department of Labor, Milum in Hialeah, Florida refused to provide emergency paid sick leave to two workers getting tested after believing they may have contracted coronavirus.

Both tested positive, and Milum continued to refuse paid sick leave, despite the federal law, reported Miami Herald.
