Two dead following pickup vs. semi crash, interstate shooting, in Nashville

Published:

Tennessee police say that two people are dead and two others injured following a crash and shooting that shut down a portion of I-24 in Nashville for hours.

So far, police have released few details, but they have confirmed that the incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, on eastbound I-24 at Shelby Ave. near downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville police have confirmed that a pickup and a semi truck crashed on the interstate.

They’ve also confirmed that gunfire killed two males in the pickup and injured two others. One of the people injured was a juvenile.

Police also said that “one gun was recovered from the vehicle, which was stolen last week from South Nashville.”

The incident shut down the interstate for much of the morning rush hour, but all lanes have since reopened.

This is a developing story.
