Two Truck and Train Collisions – Both Drivers Escape Injury

Two truck and train collisions occurred yesterday. Both truck drivers were able to escape injury.

The first collision occurred in Eltopia, Washington on Wednesday, June 10.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office, the driver was not injured. The driver was able to exit his truck before the train struck.

It is unclear at this time why the truck stopped on the tracks.

A second collision occurred in San Joaquin County, California on Wednesday.

According to the Escalon Police Department, a BNSF train struck a truck that was hauling cattle. Of the 70 cows on the truck, only 10-12 survived the impact. The cattle were being transported from Hawaii.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

BNSF is conducting its own investigation of the accident.
