The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is restricting all truck travel on a portion of I-80 due to high winds.
UDOT announced the travel restriction at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18.
From UDOT: “Driver Alert: Semi-trucks and high profile vehicles are prohibited on I-80 in both directions through Tooele County (MP 0-99) due to high winds. Use an alternate route and check the UDOT Traffic App or @waze for updates.”

UDOT says that there is no estimated time for wind restrictions to be lifted.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has also issued I-80 travel restrictions due to wind.
