VIDEO: HELP truck driver ‘intentionally hit’ by motorist

Published:

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) shared shocking video of a motorist who they say intentionally struck a HELP truck driver.

The video captured in Hudson Valley, New York, on October 22 and was shared by NYSDOT on October 26.

Officials say that the worker with the NYSDOT’s HELP program was helping to direct traffic at a crash site when he was “intentionally hit by a motorist.”

NYSDOT called the incident “reprehensible behavior.”

“He was there to ensure safety for motorists. Ensure his safety by slowing down, paying attention and being patient,” NYSDOT said.

The worker was injured but is expected to be okay.

The incident is under investigation by New York State Police.
