A crowd of people stopped to help rescue a truck driver whose truck had jackknifed and crashed on a Maryland highway.
The double tractor-trailer crashed into thick brush on the side of I-495’s inner loop in Prince George’s County on August 4.
A news reporter from ABC7, Kevin Lewis, happened to be driving by when he noticed the crash and stopped.
From his twitter post videos, dozens of people can be seen helping clear brush before EMS was able to arrive.
One man could even be seen using his own chainsaw to extract branches that were trapping the truck.
Emergency crews quickly arrived on the scene and worked to free the driver.
According to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS department, the driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Three others involved in the crash were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Hazmat crews worked to clear the fuel spill at the scene.
