VIDEO: Truckers rush to help lone trooper struggling with subject

Published:

Dramatic dash cam video from earlier this year shows two semi truck drivers blocking traffic and coming to the aid of a Utah trooper struggling to restrain a man who had walked into traffic.

The compelling video was initially captured in July 2020 but has started making the rounds trucking social media sites in mid-October, and given the bravery of the truckers involved, it is certainly worth a second look.

The video was captured on I-15 in Kaysville after a man exited his vehicle and walked into the southbound lanes of traffic.

Trooper Justin Law, fearing that the man could be hurt, made multiple attempts to move the man out of the active lanes of traffic and eventually tackled the man on the side of the interstate.

In dash cam video, you can see that two truck drivers spot the solo trooper struggling with the man on the shoulder. One of the truckers immediately pulls off on the shoulder and sprints to Trooper Law’s aid while another uses his rig to block traffic and then also comes to the scene to help restrain the subject.

Both truckers were thanked for their actions by Law and the Utah Highway Patrol.

Check out dash cam video from the incident below (and skip ahead to the 1:50 mark to get to the action!)
