Western Flyer Xpress announces major 300 truck fleet expansion

An Oklahoma City-based trucking company recently announced significant plans to seriously expand their fleet, starting this week.

Western Flyer Xpress and partner company RWTL Capacity Solutions say that they’ll add an impressive 300 power units to their fleet starting now through 2021.

Company leaders say that solo and team drivers will start seeing the new equipment roll into Oklahoma City headquarters this week.

A large chunk of the new trucks will roll out in November and December as Western Flyer Xpress says that they will bring on 130 new trucks by the end of 2020.

50 of the new trucks to be added by the end of the year will be Peterbilt Ultra Lofts 579 Cummins X15 Efficiency Series equipped with automatic transmissions, refrigerators, disc brakes, Michelin tires, APUs, and Concert Stereo systems.

An additional 50 trucks will be Freightliner Cascadias equipped with DD15 engines, D12 automatic transmissions, refrigerators, disc brakes, APUs, and Michelin tires.

RWTL is also rolling out new top equipment for lease purchase drivers.

Within the next few weeks, the Western Flyer Xpress energy division is adding 30 new Peterbilt 389’s, equipped with a Cummins X15 Performance 565 HP engine, 18 speed transmission, 1850 ft pounds of torque, APUs, and red frames.
