WIND ADVISORY: Multiple rollovers in CA

Published:

Multiple semi trucks were toppled due to high winds in California on Monday.

The winds occurred on Monday, October 26th around Needles, California and incited a wind advisory, which will remain in place until 9:00 p.m. on Monday evening for counties across northwest Arizona, southeast California, and southern Nevada.

The advisory predicts winds between 25 to 35 mph with gusts as strong as 50 mph, and some are blaming the yearly Santa Ana winds for the chaos.

CDLLife App member Kerry D. warned drivers to be extra careful along Interstate 40 near Needles after witnessing at least three semi trucks overturn in the strong winds.

At least five tractor trailers also overturned in high winds along Interstate 15 near Fontana, California between the 210 and the 60, an area infamously known as a trouble spot for semi trucks in high winds.

No injuries have been reported.
