A woman is dead after running into traffic following a serious confrontation with another motorist.
The incident happened in Orange County, Florida at around midnight on Saturday, September 26th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol and Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the 30-year-old woman was riding in a car with a 27-year-old male driver heading east along Interstate 4 when the two got into an argument.
As the argument escalated, the male driver pulled the car onto the shoulder of the highway near mile marker 68, where the woman reportedly ‘broke a bottle,’ and stabbed the man with the jagged glass before running directly into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, but the truck driver suffered no injuries. The victim in the stabbing was transported to a nearby hospital, but the severity of his injuries is not known, reported the Orlando Sentinel.
Both the Florida Highway Patrol and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the incident.
